Premier Li Keqiang inspected Jingdezhen, a Chinese city renowned for porcelain making, in East China's Jiangxi province, on Nov 14.

In recent years, Jingdezhen, owing to its porcelain industry, has attracted over 30,000 artists, including 5,000 foreigners, to live in the city.

Premier Li visited the Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue in Jingdezhen, whose predecessor is a State-owned ceramic factory.

The Chinese traditional aesthetics and craftsmanship are embodied in porcelain, Premier Li said to the ceramic artists. He called for them to pass the fine skills on to the next generations and, more important, the ancient civilization they inherited.

Premier Li talked to young business starters on the ceramic art avenue, a place abundant with distinctive stores and markets.

He praised their creative products, and asked them to absorb the essence from the ancients and overseas, to create a new world and an international porcelain capital.
